W2W funding will support a dedicated dental office that is open and staffed full-time and provides comprehensive services for a flat, affordable fee. Patients will have access to general and preventative care, specialized oral care, education, and telehealth.

The Center for New North Carolinians (CNNC) Community Centers reduces access to barriers by locating their programming in areas with a high immigrant population The CNNC employs a unique model of cultural brokering and accompaniment-based care coordination that is trauma- informed, client-centered, and prioritizes women and families. With funding from Women to Women, the CNNC will be able to offer targeted support to immigrant and refugee women in the form of job placement and readiness, in addition to setting up groups focused on housing rights and responsibilities, health and nutrition, and driving education.

As space becomes available, collaborations to provide expanded food menus/options and fresh produce/meals will grow. A new family market will be added as part of the expansion, providing more direct client product selection, a more personalized shopping experience, and flexible operating hours. BackPack Beginnings’ current child-centered services to feed, clothe, and comfort those in need serves over 12,000 children each year.

In 2022, CHS provided critical repairs to 128 homes. 76.5% were owned by women whose income was below 80% of the area median income for Guilford County. The funding from W2W will help provide critical home repairs to these female head of households enabling them to stay in their homes that will be made warmer, drier, and safer.
