What We Do

Each day, more than 40,000 women right here in our own community struggle to put food on the table, to keep themselves and their children safe and healthy, and to lift themselves out of poverty and towards futures of opportunity. 

Women to Women changes the lives of women and girls by funding programs that offer demonstrated results. We identify the point of intervention that truly changes these women’s futures. Our proven grant allocation process supports a broad platform of programs that may not be on the radar for most donors. The outcomes are real and meaningful in the lives of Guilford County families, the community we all call home.

When you invest in women, you invest in stronger, more stable families and communities. You develop more capable workers, people who produce more, save more, and spend more, both right now and 30 years from now. You help raise a generation of healthier kids with brighter futures, and you lower the cost of everything from public safety to social services to healthcare.

Our Grants

Thanks to the generosity of individuals, businesses, and foundations, Women to Women has donated over $1,600,000 to more than 60 programs serving women and girls in need and at risk across Guilford County. 

Our grants support high-impact interventions proven to accelerate women’s economic opportunity and disrupt the cycle of generational poverty. We leverage community investment to support organizations that prioritize programs working to help women become economically secure and or economically self-sufficient. Women lacking economic security struggle to adequately provide for themselves and their families. Economic security for women is impacted by many factors. Depth of investment in multiple factors is required to affect social change.
