Community Centers for Refugees and Immigrants
The Center for New North Carolinians (CNNC) Community Centers reduces access to barriers by locating their programming in areas with a high immigrant population The CNNC employs a unique model of cultural brokering and accompaniment-based care coordination that is trauma- informed, client-centered, and prioritizes women and families. With funding from Women to Women, the CNNC will be able to offer targeted support to immigrant and refugee women in the form of job placement and readiness, in addition to setting up groups focused on housing rights and responsibilities, health and nutrition, and driving education.
